HELISIM Eurocopter Training Services will officially launch their NH 90 full flight mission simulator on September 23rd, 2009.

Australian Army, French MoD as well as other undisclosed customers have already entered into firm agreements with Helisim for multi-year training contracts, totalling more than 5000 hours.

Helisim’s NH 90 full flight mission simulator offers a unique ability to train in all weather including the use of NVGs (Night vision Goggles) or specific TOPOWL helmets featuring a display on the pilot’s helmet. Active battlefield threats are also simulated, allowing pilots to operate in safety when facing real operational emergencies.

One other feature which makes Helisim’s simulator unequalled is its visual database, featuring satellite imagery with an outstanding resolution of 12.5 cm in cities and 50 cm in mountain areas. This key feature will allow aircrews to train in highly-realistic situations, thereby reducing the overall cost of mission preparing personnel for actual deployment
